The Archies Celeb Review: Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor And Others Give Big Shoutout To Zoya Akhtar Film

The Archies day is finally here! Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda, and late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor finally make their acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's directorial The Archies. After attending the star-studded special premiere of the Netflix film, the celebs have flooded social media with positive reviews of the film. The film is an adaptation of the popular American comic series of the same name.

Actress Katrina Kaif gives a big shoutout to Zoya Akhtar's directorial on Instagram through a long post. Calling the film a 'beautiful craft', the Tiger 3 actress wrote, "#thearchies Takes you back to an era of innocence and charm that we seem to have forgotten, so beautifully crafted and attention given to each and every frame, musicals are the hardest genre to crack and this just got it so RIGHT brilliantly choreographed songs and imaginatively shot. My @zoieakhtar there just is none like you, your eye your talent what you bring to whatever genre you choose, such an original unique voice, you get actors like no one can, you see the most special thing about that actor and you bring that on screen. You're just an exceptionally skilled talented and gifted soul. Born for the movies, what a body of work you are creating (sic)."

Complimenting the cast, she wrote, “And the kids stunning endearing the perfect cast .. They make you laugh smile #augustya just belongs on the big screen such a lovely screen presence and is so effortless @suhanakhan2 this seems like your 10th film your shine in every frame and what dancing."

Taking to his Instagram handle, filmmaker Karan Johar hailed Zoya Akhtar's 'impeccable craft' and wrote, "#thearchies has been watched!!! A town of Anglo Indians called RIVERDALE! The year is 1964.. And straight from the credit roll you’re sucked right into @zoieakhtar’s world and with her impeccable craft and command she makes sure you’re hooked! The production design, the cinematography,the choreography , the costume design will blow your mind with its on fleek detailing and aesthetic victories!"
