Indian automaker Tata Motors has come forward extending support to its customers in the areas affected by cyclone ‘Michaung’ flooding. There has been considerable loss of property in areas of southern parts of India resulting from flooding by cyclone ‘Michaung’. Flooding has quite a detrimental effect on vehicles and Tata Motors coming forward and taking initiative to assist its customers shows the company’s commitment towards its customers.
Southern states of India in particular Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have been bearing the brunt of the cyclone ‘Michaung’ which has resulted in flooding of major areas in these states. Knowing the repercussions of floods Tata Motors has rolled out a service plan to help its customers deal with vehicles affected by floods in these states. Announcing this initiative the company has stated that this new comprehensive service plan for flood affected vehicles is being extended to all passenger vehicles from Tata Motors including electric passenger vehicles from the company.
The service programme rolled out by Tata Motors includes - extension of standard warranty, extended warranty, annual maintenance packages and free service period for passenger vehicles by Tata Motors. According to the company this service plan is for customers with contracts that are expiring between January 1st 2023 - December 15th 2023 and that this plan will be valid till December 31st 2023.
To facilitate easier implementation of this plan and assist the customer, the company is also offering the customers special access to a dedicated emergency road assistance team, free towing assistance and a round the clock helpline.
