OTT giant, Netflix, has announced the digital premiere date of Shesham Mike-il Fathima, which stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role. The movie will debut on the platform on December 15, which is less than four weeks after its theatrical release.
The film Shesham Mike-il Fathima marked the directorial debut of Manu C Kumar. The film revolves around a happy-go-lucky girl from a conservative background who aims at dreaming big. Even though her dreams witness some restrictions by cultural police, she also exhibits aspirations of a modern girl.

The short OTT release window for new movies is one of the most talked about things in Indian film industry. Although theatre owners in the southern cinema continue to say that new movies should be out of the streaming platforms as long as possible, the producers continue to say the opposite.
Netflix took to social media to post "Shesham Mike-il Fathima is coming to Netflix on 15 December in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi!".

Distributed by Big Dream Films in Kerala and Sree Gokulam Movies worldwide, Kalyani’s Sesham Mike-il Fathima clashed with Basil Joseph’s family drama Family at the box office on November 17. Interestingly, Kalyani’s action drama Antony, helmed by Joshiy, released on December 1.
Produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy, under the banners of Passion Studios and The Route, the film revolves around Fathima, who dreams of becoming a football commentator. Sesham Mikeil.
The film Sesham Mike-il Fathima also includes Femina George, Shaheen Siddique (in an extended cameo), Parvathi T, Aneesh G Menon and Sabumon Abdusamad. Sesham Mikeil Fathima’s cinematography is done by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran, while the movie is edited by Kiran Das, and its music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
