Revanth ​Reddy has been named the next Chief Minister of Telangana after the Congress rode to victory in the state in the recently-concluded Assembly Elections. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on December 7.

Revanth Reddy had vowed during the campaign ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections that if voted to power, he would make the CM's office more accessible and cut down the iron bars barricading the compound.

Telangana Chief Minister-designate Revanth Reddy is a man of his words. During the political campaigns ahead of the Assembly elections in the state, the Congress leader had vowed that if he were voted to power, one of the first things he would do was break down the barricades outside the Chief Minister's official residence and make it more accessible to the public.
On Thursday, dozens of workers were called to Pragathi Bhavan, the official CM's residence, to cut down the iron rods that barricade the compound.

Reddy has been named the next Chief Minister of Telangana after the Congress rode to victory in the state. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on December 7, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said at a press briefing.
After the announcement, Reddy expressed his ‘gratitude’ towards Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and other key party leaders.
“I wholeheartedly express my gratitude to honourable AICC president Shri @kharge ji, Mother of Telangana our beloved #Soniamma, ever inspiring leader @RahulGandhi ji, charismatic @priyankagandhi ji, AICC General Secretary (Org) @kcvenugopalmp ji, deputy CM of Karnataka @DKShivakumar ji and Incharge General Secretary- Telangana @Manikrao_INC ji and last but not the least our congress soldiers who stood by us through thick and thin,” Reddy wrote on social media platform X.
Reddy was credited for the party's thumping victory in Assembly elections in Telangana.
