A man is seen punching a puppy and throwing it on the road before kicking it furiously in a disturbing video that has emerged from Guna in Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has condemned the inhuman act and has called for strict action against the accused.
The extremely graphic visuals - reportedly from a CCTV - show a man sitting on a footpath being approached by a group of puppies. He ignores them initially but then get furious as one of them touches him. The man then punches the puppy with full force and then grabs it by the back of it neck before throwing the poor animal onto the busy road. Seconds later he walks towards the puppy and lands several kicks before he walks away.

Jyotiraditya Scindia has also reacted to the incident on X and called it "horrifying and disturbing". "There is no doubt that man should be penalised for this barbarism," he said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted to the heart-rending incident and said, "Deeply disturbed by the horrifying incident. Swift and strict action will be taken to ensure justice is served".
"We unequivocally condemn such acts of barbarism, and the individual responsible will face the consequences," Mr Chouhan added.
Animal cruelty is a criminal offence under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. The punishments are simple or rigorous including prison term and fine or both.
