Mumbai Local Train News: Mega Block on Central Railway's Main and Harbour Lines Today | Details
The Central Railway has scheduled a mega block on its main and harbour line which will affect the services on the line on Sunday. Special services will run between CSMT Mumbai and Kurla and Panvel and Vashi during the block period, and passengers are permitted to travel via Thane-Vashi / Nerul stations till 6pm today.

Mumbai: Local train commuters in Mumbai may face inconvenience on Sunday, December 10, due to scheduled mega blocks on the Central Railway's main and harbour lines. On the main line, the rail block is on the Thane-Kalyan Up and Down Fast lines from 10.4 am to 3.40pm today.
Mega Block on Central Railway Lines: List of Changes in Train Services
On the main line, the Up Fast/Semi-fast services departing Kalyan from 10.28 am to 03.25 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations halting at Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations in addition to their respective halts and further re-diverted on Up fast line at Mulund station and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than their scheduled arrival.
As for the long distance trains,
- The Down Mail/Express trains departing CSMT/Dadar will be diverted on the 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations.
- Up Mail/Express trains arriving at CSMT/Dadar will be diverted on the 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/ Vikhroli stations.
On Harbour line, the block will be on Kurla-Vashi Up and Dn Harbour lines from 11.10am to 4.10pm.
- The Down Harbour line services to
Vashi /Belapur/Panvel departing CSMT Mumbai from 10.3 am to 3.36pm - Up Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai departing Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.16am to 3.47pm will remain cancelled.
Special Services During Block Period
Special services will run between CSMT Mumbai and Kurla and Panvel and Vashi during the block period, and passengers are permitted to travel via Thane-Vashi / Nerul stations till 6pm today.
On the Western Railway (WR), there will be no rail block today and this will be a relief to commuters as trains will be available on slow and fast lines as per the Sunday timetable. The WR had carried out a night block between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations till 4am on Sunday.
