Mami Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Lauds Agastya Nanda’s The Archies, Calls It 'Wonderful'

Zoya Akhtar’s much-awaited The Archies has finally made its debut on Netflix, offering a musical journey through the lives of seven friends. Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor step into the limelight with their debut performances, accompanied by a new cast including Koel Purie, Santana Roach, Tara Sharma Saluja, and Delnaaz Irani. Bollywood diva Aishwarya Bachchan recently lauded the team and reviewed the film.

The official Netflix India took to Instagram and shared reactions from a special screening, featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's brief yet heartfelt congratulations to the entire team. Amid rumours of separation, Aishwarya attended the premiere with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya and the Bachchan family.

Expressing her excitement, she said, "Wonderful and huge congratulations to the entire team."

Janhvi Kapoor penned a lengthy note praising her sister's performance for its warmth, honesty, and charm. Arjun Kapoor also chimed in, expressing his newfound love for the world of Archies and commending Zoya Akhtar for evoking nostalgic memories.

This Indian adaptation, starring Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda, hit Netflix on December 7. While receiving mixed reviews from critics and cinephiles, The Archies is a noteworthy addition to Indian adaptations.
