About Malaikottai Vaaliban
Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, Malaikottai Vaaliban features Mohanlal in a never-seen-before avatar and his look in the period drama is winning praise.Malaikottai Vaaliban is scheduled for release on January 25, 2024. The majority of the shoot took place in Rajasthan, Chennai, and Pondicherry. The screenplay was written by PS Rafeeque and the cinematography was handled by Madhu Neelakandan. The film’s first look poster, unveiled earlier this year, generated considerable excitement among Malayalam movie buffs.

Talking about the film, Lijo Jose Pellissery said, "This is a period film which demanded someone with the gravitas of Mohanlal sir and we are very proud of what we have created together. Working with a legend like him is indescribable as he comes with a lifetime of experience as an actor. To see him vanish into the character is incredible."
Lijo Pellissery is celebrated for his directorial prowess with critically acclaimed films like Angamaly Diaries and Jallikattu, the latter earning the distinction of being India’s official entry in the Best International
Feature category at the 93rd Academy Awards.
The much-talked-about film also features Marathi actor Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Manikandan Achari, Rajeev Pillai, Kannada actor Danish Sait, and Hariprashant Varma.
