India-Made Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Goes On-Sale In Europe

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has now been introduced in the European market. The same bike was launched in India sometime back and now it will also be available for purchase in the international markets like the UK, France and Italy. In India, it retails at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while its international pricing has been kept at EUR 5900 (equivalent to Rs 5.30 lakh) and in the UK the bike costs GBP 5,750 GBP (equivalent to Rs 6 lakh).
The internationally sold motorcycle closely resembles the model available in the Indian domestic market. It gets a 450cc single-cylinder engine, marking Royal Enfield's first venture into liquid-cooled engines. The engine is responsible for delivering 40bhp of power and 40Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring assist and slipper clutch.
The bike weighs 196kg and stands lighter than the Himalayan 411 and boasts a larger fuel capacity. With a 21/17-inch spoke wheel combination fitted with dual-purpose tires, the Himalayan 450 offers enhanced capabilities. Its features include full-LED lighting, ride-by-wire technology, and switchable ABS. Additionally, the Himalayan 450 comes with a circular TFT screen featuring Bluetooth connectivity.
In India, the company has also commenced the deliveries for the new Himalayan 450 locally. In addition, the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker has a number of other models in the pipeline, some of these models would be based on the 650cc platform, while the rest will share the J-Series platform.
