Hyundai has confirmed that the facelifted version of the Creta will debut early next year on January 16th 2024. There were rumours online that the launch of the facelifted Creta was approaching as the test mule of the Creta was spotted several times online but now the company has confirmed the arrival of the facelifted version of the Creta.
Hyundai first introduced its compact SUV, Creta in the Indian market back in 2015. Since then the Creta has pretty much been the measuring stick of this segment. The company introduced the second generation of the Creta in 2020 and now the company is all set to introduce its facelifted version in the market.
The Hyundai Creta has been the segment benchmark and with each version the company tries to raise the bar of the segment. With the passage of time the Creta has got many competitors like the Citroen C3 Aircross, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Kia Seltos and the latest Honda Elevate. With its competition topping their game, Hyundai is all set to take it back to its competitors with this facelift.
The 2024 Hyundai Creta is expected to be introduced with the company’s new design language that we have already seen in the Santa Fe and Exter with ‘H’ pattern LED DRLs. Since this is a facelift and not a generation change we expect Creta to retain its powertrain and transmission options however it is being anticipated that the turbocharged petrol engine will make its way to the Creta lineup with this facelift.
Some other notable changes that are expected are changes to the interior and the addition of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) which will bring it at par with some of its competitors like the Astor, Seltos and Elevate.
