KEY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Seth Rollins has taken a dig at Roman Reigns
  • Roman has been a part-time WWE superstar since 2022
  • Rollins is the present World Heavyweight Champion
Seth Rollins has been one of the best champions since winning the World Heavyweight Championship. The WWE veteran has been present on every show since winning the title and defends his title on premium live events, weekly shows and live events. Rollins earned his right to become the inaugural champion back in May and he has proven why he deserved to win the title.
Roman Reigns, who is the Undisputed Universal Champion, is rarely on TV and Rollins has been the top champion in his absence. Rollins has once again taken a dig at Roman and said that the topic of the superstar who can dethrone him isn't a topic of discussion.
"I mean, to be honest with you as of late, because he’s been so absent, I don’t even really think it’s been a topic of conversation amongst fans, let alone the locker room. I think it’s one of those things where it’s an opportunity, but it’s such a glass ceiling opportunity," Rollins said on SI Media Podcast.
"Like, it feels like almost, it’s one of those things where it may never happen, like what’s the point in wasting your time over there because the glass ceiling is so obvious and so thick, which is nice on my end with the World Heavyweight Championship."
Roman signed a part-time deal with WWE in 2022 and he is hardly on WWE TV now. The Tribal Chief last performed at Crown Jewel, which took place on November 4. Before that, he had defended his title at SummerSlam.
Roman has only put his title twice on the line since Wrestlemania 39, where he defeated Cody Rhodes. Roman has been holding on to his title despite being a part-time superstar. His title reign could come to an end in the next couple of years.
Roman is confirmed to make his WWE return on next week's Smackdown. He is likely to defend his title at Royal Rumble 2024, scheduled to take place in January.
