Exclusive! Kho Gaye Hum Kahan Starcast Unhappy With Film's OTT Release

The harmonious co-existence of the big screen and OTT medium seems to be a distant dream. If the truth is told, the chasm between the two grows by the week, what with films being denied a proper theatre release in favour of lucrative deals on an OTT platform.
The latest film to hit the digital button at the cost of a proper release in the cinemas is Excel Entertainment's Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, starring Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav and directed by Arjun Varain Singh.
Apparently, Excel cut a lucrative deal with Netflix without informing any of the cast or crew. This has upset some of the team members greatly.
An actor from the film told Zoom, "We were not kept in the loop at all. Not that they (the producers) are obliged to inform us about it (the release format). But we shot the film as a feature film for the bada parda (big screen). Suddenly, it’s like honey, we’ve shrunk the screen. It’s not fair. But at least there is the consolation of knowing that millions are going to watch it on Netflix."
The shrunken screen comes as a special blow to the blossoming careers of its three lead players Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav, who were hoping to take their careers a notch above where they are at the moment.
