Dunki Update! Shah Rukh Khan Shoots 'Special' Dance Number In UAE For Rajkumar Hirani Film

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and noted filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's first film together, Dunki is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The comedy-drama, also starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani, is set to hit the screens on Christmas and fans are waiting with bated breath. Amid the excitement, an update about one of Dunki's songs has surfaced online.

Yes, you read that right! SRK's Dunki features a special foot-tapping anthem.

While Lutt Putt Gaya and Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se have already won hearts, we cannot wait to see what else the duo has in store for us.

But fans can rest assured, it's going to be 'special.'

The song we are talking about was recently filmed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The team of Dunki flew to UAE earlier this month to shoot the dance number.

Reportedly, SRK finished the song in three days as he had to attend the premiere of daughter Suhana Khan's debut film The Archies.

A source close to the project told an entertainment portal, "SRK and Hirani had planned it in such a way that he shot the song in three days and made it back in time for Suhana's film première on Tuesday night. The number was filmed on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi with a limited crew. Considering SRK's popularity in the UAE, it is heard that news of the song shoot created a buzz among his local fans."

Reports also state that this dance number has been specially crafted for "promotional purposes."

In just a few days, SRKians will get to witness King Khan's magic for the third time this year. His previous two releases Pathaan and Jawan emerged as the biggest blockbusters of all time and expectations are quite high from Dunki.

The film, also starring Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover, is about a group of friends who are hellbent on going to London. It revolves around the illegal technique used by immigrants, called the Donkey Flight, to enter foreign countries.

SRK described the film as "a madcap ride of friendship, the comedy and tragedy that life is and a nostalgia for home & family."

Dunki is set to release worldwide on December 20, 2023. It will lock horns with Prabhas' Salaar at the box office.
