New Delhi: As winter sets in, the Mercury levels continue to dip in Delhi. Delhiites woke up to the coldest morning of the season on Monday with the minimum temperature settling at 6.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average. The national capital has been seeing below-than-normal temperatures for the last couple of days. On Saturday, the city recorded a low of 8.5 degrees Celsius, as per the Indian Meteorological Department.
In the coming days, the night temperatures are expected to touch 6 degrees Celsius.

Weather in Delhi During Next 7 Days

As per the IMD, the temperature recorded this morning was one degree lower than the average recorded at this time of the year. The maximum temperature across the capital was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius, which is a “notch below the season's average”.
By today, the temperature is expected to drop around 7 degrees Celsius due to the northwesterly winds in the capital region.
As of now, the national capital has not recorded any fog and the lowest visibility was recorded at 1,100 metres. As per the IMD, visibility between 500-100 metres is deemed as “shallow” fog, between 200-500 metres as “moderate” fog, and below 200 metres as “dense" fog.
Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 9.2 degrees Celsius on Friday. Over the next few weeks, the temperature is likely to dip further.
Due to the winds in the capital, the AQI level has improved slightly. With AQI clocking at the "very poor" category, this morning, the levels reached "poor" category as per SAFAR. As per aqi.in, the AQI levels in New Delhi stand at 223 as of 8:25 AM today - December 11, 2023.
