BJP MPs, Including Diya Kumar, Baba Balak Nath, To Resign From Parliament: Sources

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had fielded seven MPs in the Rajasthan Assembly. Out of these seven MPs, four won their respective seats. Now reports surfaced that these parliamentarians would resign from the post.​

Jaipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed to register a comfortable victory in the recently concluded Rajasthan Assembly polls. The saffron party had fielded seven MPs in the Rajasthan Assembly. Out of these seven MPs, four won their respective seats. Now reports surfaced that these parliamentarians would resign from the post.
The seven MPs fielded by the BJP were - Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Ajmer MP Bhagirath Choudhary, Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari, Alwar MP Baba Balak Nath, Jhunjhunu MP Narendra Kumar, Jalore MP Devji Patel, and Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena.
Out of these MPs, Kumari, Rathore, Baba Balak Nath and Meena registered victory. Kumari remained victorious from the Vidhyanagar seat, Rathore from Jhitwara, Balak Nath from Tijara and Meena from Sawai Madhopur.

Notably, Kumari and Baba Balak Nath are among the BJP's CM probables.
As per sources, these four MPs could tender their resignation during the ongoing winter session of Parliament.
In the recently concluded assembly polls in Rajasthan, the BJP won 115 seats. The ruling-Congress managed to repeat its 2018 performance and got restricted to only 69 seats.
Bharat Adivasi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party bagged three and two seats respectively. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Dal and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party remained victorious on one seat each. Independents won eight seats.
