As Tesla Mulls India Entry, Fisker's Fully Electric SUV Spotted Testing On Indian Roads

EV News: As Tesla continues to engage with the Indian government to lower down taxes on imported electric vehicles, Fisker, a rival to Tesla, has expedited its operations to establish its presence in the country. The company was seen testing its new Ocean Fisker SUV on Indian roads, specifically in Hyderabad.

While Tesla is still persuading the Indian government to make market conditions more favorable for its electric cars in the market, Fisker, a Tesla-rival has fast-tracked its operations to make its presence felt in the country soon. Now, as per a Team-BHP report, the company was spotted testing its new Ocean Fisker SUV on the Indian roads. The electric SUV was spotted in Hyderabad.
The prototype of the Fisker Ocean SUV can be seen without any significant camouflage, with its exterior design on full display. Also, not to miss its sleek all-black exterior, complete with LED taillights, retractable door handles, and a roof spoiler that integrates a stop lamp. Large and chunky black alloy wheels give the SUV a commanding presence, something which is sure attract the Indian customer's attention.
The car is likely to come equipped with an 80-kWh battery with a full-charge range of 480 km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 3 seconds and is available in both two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. It's also generously equipped with features, including a 17.1-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, digital rear-view mirror, power-operated tailgate, 3D surround sound system, heated seats both in the front and rear, 360-degree cameras, ADAS features, and driving modes named Earth, Fun, and Hyper.
Fisker has also confirmed the production of 100 Extreme Vigyan Editions of the Ocean electric SUV specifically for the Indian market. It remains to be seen whether Fisker introduces any India-specific elements for the Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition. This model is expected to compete with other premium electric vehicles like the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Mercedes-Benz EQB.
