Ahmedabad: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of India’s first bullet train railway station at Sabarmati multimodal transport hub in Ahmedabad. The 43 seconds clip shared few days back on platform X, formerly known as Twitter showcased modern-day architecture combined with India’s cultural heritage.

3. The project will link two metropolitan cities in approximately 2.07 hours, the project boasts a maximum design speed of 350 kmph.
4. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for the project, last month reported the completion of 100 km of viaducts and 230 km of pier work for the corridor.
5. According to the corporation, the viaducts encompass bridges over six rivers flowing through Gujarat, including Par and Auranga in Valsad, Purna, Mindhola, Ambika, and Venganiya rivers in Navsari district.
6. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor project is being constructed at a cost of ₹1.08 lakh crore.
7. It was launched in September 2017 by PM Narendra Modi and his then-Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.
8. In accordance with the shareholding pattern, the central government is set to contribute ₹10,000 crore to the NHSRCL, with Gujarat and Maharashtra each contributing ₹5,000 crore reportedly.
9. The remaining cost will be covered through a loan with a 0.1 per cent interest rate from Japan.
10. The comprehensive development of the project is expected to conclude by 2028.
