The fourth highest run-scorer in IPL Suresh Raina went unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He last represented Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 IPL and made 160 runs from 12 matches. His base price was Rs. 2 crores in this IPL auction.
Undoubtedly, the IPL 2021 was not that great for former Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan who represented Kolkata Knight Riders. From 8 games, he picked 4 wickets and scored 47 runs. He went unsold in the IPL 2022 auction at his base price of Rs. 2 crores.
Australian cricketer Steve Smith last played for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2021. From 8 matches, he scored just 152 runs which speaks loud to why he was nobody's pick in the IPL 2022 mega auction. His base price was Rs. 2 crores.

The Aussie cricketer Andrew Tye, who last represented Rajasthan Royals in a single match in the 2020 IPL, went unsold at the IPL 2022 mega auction. His base price was at Rs. 1 crore.
The New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill went unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auction even at his base price of Rs. 75 lakhs. He was picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the 2019 IPL but was released in the very next season.
Ahead of the 2021 IPL, the Aussie all-rounder was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders. But the last time he got to play a game was in 2019. In the recently concluded IPL auction, no franchise picked the cricketer even at his base price of Rs. 75 lakhs.
