Mathura: A teenage girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura allegedly died by suicide after her mother scolded her for skipping school. The police said that the 13-year-old girl was unwilling to go to school on Wednesday.
Following this, her mother scolded and slapped her and insisted that she must go to school. However, instead of reaching school, she went to Alwar-Mathura railway track. She ended her life by jumping in front of a train.
SP Martand Prakash Singh said, “The mother of the 13-year-old girl slapped her when she refused to go to school. Angered by it, the girl ended her life by jumping before a moving train.”
In a separate incident, a 13-year-old domestic worker in Gurgaon’s Sector 57 was allegedly beaten up, bitten by a dog and forced nudity by the family where the 13-year-old girl was employed.
According to the victim’s mother, the woman of the house identified as Shashi Sharma, would frequently assault the minor girl with an iron rod and hammer. Also, the woman's two sons allegedly filmed the girl nude, recorded explicit videos, and subjected her to inappropriate touching, according to a report by PTI. Read the full story.
