According to the victim’s mother, the woman of the house identified as Shashi Sharma, would frequently assault the minor girl with an iron rod and hammer. Also, the woman's two sons allegedly filmed the girl nude, recorded explicit videos, and subjected her to inappropriate touching, according to a report by PTI.
The girl, held captive in a room with her mouth taped shut, was rescued when her mother, accompanied by her employer came inside the room .
The mother's complaint revealed that her daughter was given food after 48 hours. The girl's mouth was taped to prevent her from seeking help, as per the police.
The employers purportedly poured acid on the girl's hands and threatened to take her life if she disclosed the abuse.
The victim hails from Bihar, the girl's mother secured her daughter's job on June 27 at Shashi Sharma's residence in Sector 57 with the help of a local vehicle cleaner.
The mother received the monthly wage of her daughter in the initial two months. Afterwards the promised wage of Rs 9,000 was not paid.
"I went to meet my daughter several times but was neither allowed to meet her nor talk to her on the phone," she said, adding that she could file the complaint only with the help of her employer, who accompanied her to free her daughter.
Following the complaint, charges of animal cruelty, causing harm, outraging the modesty of women, and criminal intimidation have been levied against Shashi Sharma and her two sons.
