"The husband's actions resulted in more births. However, with education, a woman can restrict him... this is why the number of births is decreasing. When girls get married, they know their husbands will do it," he made the bizarre remarks in Bihar assembly, "but educated girls ask their husband to pull out." Nitish Kumar, however, later clarified.

During the Lok Sabha session, BJP MP Ramesh Bhiduri yelled at BSP MP Danish Ali, "Yeh ugrawaaadi (militant), yeh aatankwaadi hai (terrorist), ugrawaadi hai, yeh aantankwaadi hai."
